GATE 2023 EXAMINATION PATTERN

Multiple Choice Questions ( MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), Numerical Answer Types (NAT)
No negative marks for any wrong attempt for NAT questions.
The three parts in GATE EC paper- General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics, Subject- specific part (ECE).
72% weightage is given to ECE section, 15% to General Aptitude and 13% to Engineering Mathematics in GATE Exam.

GATE EXAM ECE 2023 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The eligibility criteria for GATE ECE is set up by IIT Kharagpur.

Age Limit : No minimum or maximum age Limit prescribed to appear for the examination.

Nationality : Indian Nationals, Candidates belonging to Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Ethiopia and UAE will also be eligible to appear.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

Students who have completed/ will complete their Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology or Master's degree ( M.Sc) in any relevant science subject from a recognised institution/ University will be eligible for GATE 2023.
Students pursuing their B.Tech or Undergraduate course are also eligible to appear for GATE.
No age limit on the number of attempts.
No minimum percentage required at the UG level to appear for GATE.

NB : Candidates without having the above eligibility criteria will be disqualified.
